New CustomLASIK Technology
Dear patient,
We are excited to announce that the FDA has approved VISX CustomLASIK, a new
laser vision correction technology which could mean better results for our
patients. Many patients have had great success with LASIK laser vision
correction for years. Now, for eligible candidates, our office can offer a more
refined procedure.
Through our affiliation with TLC Laser Eye Centers in Columbus, we can now offer
CustomLASIK to our patients. After our office has completed your pre-treatment
evaluation, TLC can then determine if CustomLASIK or LASIK is best for YOUR
eyes. A wavefront analyzer called a wavescan will be used to measure any
imperfections throughout the entire optical system of your eye. These
imperfections are often linked to glare and halos that may cause night vision
problems. CustomLASIK will take a waveprint similar to a fingerprint of your eye
and then create a custom treatment unique to each of your eyes. No two eyes are
alike.
